Services offered by the library and how to advantage of these services
Wheeler Library, founded and endowed by the Wheeler family as the Wheeler School and Library in 1900, provides a full range of information services to all residents of North Stonington, including lending, interlibrary loan, reference, books on tape, large print books and music CDs. Visitors with a valid card from any Connecticut public library are welcome to borrow from our collections. Our collection includes local history and genealogical materials. The library has computers, a photocopier and a fax machine available for public use. Patrons may receive faxes 24 hours a day. Cost is $1 for each incoming page. Our meeting room is available for group use. Children's programs and a Summer Reading Program are offered. Your valid Wheeler Library borrower's card enables you to use and borrow materials from any public library in

The Friends of Wheeler Library offer programs throughout the year. These include concerts, lectures, art exhibits, workshops and children's activities. The annual Book Sale is held in March. Book donations are accepted throughout the year. Please call us for more information, 535-0383.
The North Stonington Historical Society Library is open from 2pm - 4pm on Tuesdays. It is located in the Stephen Main Homestead in the Village. The collection includes deeds, maps, local history and genealogical information. Books and cemetery maps are available for purchase. Website: www.nostoningtonhistsoc.homestead.com
