To obtain a building permit an application needs to be completed, with copies of contractor licenses and insurance certificates if required, then submitted to the building department. Applications are available at Town Hall or online.  Click Here For A Building Permit Application

There are instances when a need Zoning Permit is needed before you can obtain a Building Permit.  Anytime that you are adding a new structure or changing the footprint of an existing structure a zoning permit is also required.
