5pm North Stonington Emergency Management Center final storm update

Thanks to everyone for your continued patience with the storm. It was less impactful than it could have been however 28% of our town remains out of power. It is anticipated approximately half of those out of power will be restored between 6-8pm. Roads are slowly being reopened as trees and power lines are cleared. Eversource crews have been on site today working with our highway crew to bring power back online. Our Emergency responders have been busy all day responding to calls along with our Resident State Troopers. Special thanks to Emergency Management Director Gary Baron for his efforts on behalf of the Town. We thank everyone again for their hard work today and the cleanup work to come.

Our Emergency Operations Center (EOC) will go to a “monitoring/partially opened” status. This will be our final storm update. The Stonington Emergency Shelter was closed at 3pm.

If you experience a non-emergency need please dial 211 for assistance. If you witness downed wires or have any other emergency dial 911.
