Emergency Medical Technician - Per-Diem

Shifts12/hr. Shifts. 0600 – 1800 and 1800 – 0600 / 7 – Days/Week
Schedule
  • Posted Bi-weekly and assigned based on employee availability.
  • Employees must work a minimum of 24-hours (two shifts) per month to remain active.
Qualifications
  • 18 years of age by employment start date
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current State of Connecticut EMT certification
  • Minimum of 1-year experience as an EMT performing emergency pre-hospital-based patient care.
  • Valid driver's license
Preferred
  • 2-years’ Experience as an EMT performing emergency pre-hospital-based patient care.
  • FEMA ICS 100, 200, and 700 Certifications.
  • Certification in Emergency Vehicle Operations (EVOC).
  • Hazmat Awareness Certification

Notes

Employment is contingent upon passing a post-offer background and motor vehicle record check, as well as a Fit for Duty Physical Exam by North Stonington Ambulance Association’s Occupational Health Physician. Applicants may also be required to complete a computerized written exam. Costs for these checks and examinations will be at the expense of North Stonington Ambulance Association.
