MINUTES

           1.    Call to Order/ Roll Call-The meeting was called to order by First Selectman Murphy with Selectmen Mullane and Donahue present.

3.    FY 2017-2018 Budget

          Review, Discussion, and Recommendation of FY 2017-18 Budget-After General Discussion a motion was made by Selectman Murphy to forward the following budget to the Board of Finance for FY 2017-2018, seconded by Selectman Donahue, carrying.  3-0

                      General Government Operating $5,004,875

                      Redemption of Debt                            $   100,000

                      Capital                                        $    454,707

5.    Petition to call a Special Town Meeting- First Selectman Murphy read a legal opinion letter from Rob Avena on the subject.  First Selectman Murphy made a motion to reject the petition received for the call of a special town meeting in regards to an additional appropriation for the NSVFC Brush/Forestry Truck as illegal and improper, per Town Attorney, seconded by Selectman Donahue.  General Discussion, carrying  3-0

            Town Clerk Ordinance-No Discussion

            Greene Gables Demolition-Mr. Murphy is working with Chairperson Kincaid on details for Town Meeting.

            Transfer of Center for Emergency Services Building funding-First Selectman Murphy explained the administrative error in the FY 2016-17 Budget and the Auditor’s recommendations for correcting the situation in order to properly “paydown” the debt for the EMS Center.

7.   Minutes- A motion was made by Selectman Murphy and seconded by Selectman Mullane to approve the minutes of March 6, 2017 Government Structure Joint Meeting, carrying.  3-0

A motion was made by Selectman Murphy and seconded by Selectman Donahue to approve the minutes of March 7, 2017, carrying.  3-0
