RFP Generator Tie In

The Town of North Stonington is actively seeking bids to connect a Kohler 150 three phase generator to the current system at the highway department.  This is a re-bid for the initial RFP that closed on August 12, 2019. Click Here for RFP Document

Bid to include pricing for all electrical upgrades, switches, wiring and conduits to connect new generator to existing generator wiring system. Current generator is manual switch over, new generator will be automatic switch over. 

Any bidder interested in a walkthrough should contact Don Hill, Highway Foreman, at 860-535-0924.  The generator will be located at 11 Wyassup Road, North Stonington.

A copy of current electrical license and insurance is required at the pre bid walk thru sign in.

As a condition to the award of any contract, the successful bidder(s) shall furnish certificates of insurance, including automobile, property and liability, and workers’ compensation insurance minimally as follows:

Property and Liability                                    not less than $1,000,000 
Personal Injury and Liability                          not less than $1,000,000 
Workers’ Compensation                               as required by law

 

A certificate of insurance naming the Town of North Stonington as an additional insured shall be required.

No special bid packages are required.

Sealed bids will be opened at the New Town Hall Conference Room located at 40 Main St at 3:00 PM on closing date.

Bid Closing Date: Friday, September 20 at 3:00 PM.
