RFP- NS Schools Water Service Relocation

Sealed bids for the North Stonington Schools Water Service Relocation will be received at the Office of the North Stonington First Selectman, 40 Main Street, North Stonington, CT 06359 until 11:00 A.M. on October 28, 2022 prevailing time, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing the bidder's name and bid name.
The Contract consists of the installation of a new 2” water service, meter pit, backflow preventer, and all surface restoration to re-serve a portion of the North Stonington School administration building located at 298 Norwich-Westerly Road (Route 2).
Bid documents are available digitally only and can be found on the Town of North Stonington website: https://www.northstoningtonct.gov/bids
Neither the Owner nor the Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bid Documents obtained from any other source.
A pre-bid meeting will be held on October 19, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the site #298 Norwich- Westerly Road (Route 2), North Stonington, CT 06359, starting at the parking lot along Route 2 and proceeding around the building. Attendance is not mandatory.
Bid surety in the form of a certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent 5% of this bid is required.
The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to award any item, group of items, or total bid, and to waive any informality in the bids received if it deems it to be in the best interest of the Town to do so.
No Bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the actual date of bid opening thereof. Should there be reason why the contract cannot be awarded within the specific period, this time may be extended by mutual agreement between the Town and the designated, qualified low Bidder.
