Building Department

All Building, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing and Demolition Permits can be obtained  from the on-line permitting portal or from the Land Use Department, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm. Inspections are scheduled between 5:00pm and 7:30pm Wednesdays based on the Building Official's availability. 

Duties & Responsibilities
The Building Official is responsible for the issuance of Building Permits and performing the required inspections for all new construction and remodeling that occurs in North Stonington. Demolition Permits are also issued by the Building Official.
