1/26/2023 - REMINDER NOTICE FROM THE TAX COLLECTOR
REMINDER NOTICE
The second half of motor vehicle, real estate and personal property are due January 1, 2023, and will become DELINQUENT on February 1, 2023. In addition, if you purchased a new vehicle after October 1, 2021, you will be receiving a supplemental motor vehicle bill which is also due and payable by FEBRUARY 1, 2023.
Tax office hours for collecting are Monday thru Thursday from 8:30 to 3:30 and Friday from 9:00 to 11:00.
The drop box outside the Town Hall, is also available and is checked twice daily, 8:00 am and 3:50 pm. Your payment must be in the drop box by 3:50 pm, or it will be considered received next day. You can also pay online by going to the town website. For mailing AND POST MARK, please send to 40 Main Street, North Stonington, CT 06359. FEBRUARY 1, 2023, is the last day to pay without interest.
ONLINE BILL PAYMENT through your personal bank: Be advised that these envelopes/checks do not come with a post mark, so please give your bank plenty of time to get these payments to our office. If it is received after February 1st it will be considered late regardless of the check date. The law only allows us to follow USPS post mark. Also, it is important that you reference the bill that you are intending to pay.
