Mission Summary and Guidelines

Status of Committee: ad hoc

Objective: To actively reach out to area educational groups and consortiums in an effort to lease 298 Norwich Westerly Road including all available space in the building. If at the end of the 3-4 months, tenant(s) have not been found, the subcommittee should begin to search for buyers of the property.

Membership: Appointed by the Board of Selectmen and shall consist of 5 individuals including 2 members of the Economic Development Commission, 1 member of the Board of Education, 1 member of the Board of Finance and 1 member of the Planning & Zoning Commission

Timeframe: 3-4 months

Suggested Frequency of Meeting: on a bi-weekly basis.

Reporting Requirements: the subcommittee shall report to the Board of Selectmen at the end of the timeframe.
